So yeah,

I've been done school now for like.... lets see... 2+ weeks now.
I've been looking for a job since I got home and I'll tell you...
Looking for work sucks ass. Especially if your a university student, cause damn
I'll tell you you only got 4 months to make enough dough to cover the costs of
classes, rent and food to live for 8 months.

What is more difficult though even is the fact that being a student, I can only get
minimum wage really... which is PEANUTS. Honest to God school is just a friggen hole
to toss your money into. Not to mention no companies want to hire university students
cause they know they will only be around for 4 months and then leave when school starts again.

Most jobs that are available to students are part time, so you can't work over 30 hours a week,
not to mention most companies have a tier system where if you are a new hire you actually get
stuck working those odd hours during the week no other person wants to work and really only end
up getting 15 hours of work a week if you are lucky.

So what does that mean? Wahoo, I make enough money to pay gas or travel fees, to eat while I'm working, and then half of it is gone to taxes (yay for being over 19 years of age people) or to some union or company fees of some sort. Which leads me to the inevitable that even if I get one job, I'm still probably going to have to hope to get hired for a second part time job. Which is more of the same, but I get the added bonus of now trying to balance both work places schedules and keep two bosses happy.

Ungh... if you can avoid school (especially for art) do it cause I'll be honest it does nothing but give you a fancy piece of paper with your name in calligraphic writing. If you go to university for art you will get to deal with all the snootiest stuck up snobs of a people (half of which are bullshitting finger painting and smearing paint as legit university school level art production) as well as art profs, who mark you primarily based on their own preference of art style (cause as you artists all know art is subjective) which means one prof may like your style and give you an 80% and then another may absolutely loath your art and give you a 60%. I've been toughing it out and being a good sport about it over the last 3 years but I'll be honest it can be a real crappy deal.

Not to mention no one is going to give you a break... *le sigh*

Anyhow I'm done ranting. I'll get back to work now, and hopefully in the next few months do some more digital art here for dA. My summer project though is to build a website of my own to show case art though. So yes you all take care now and I hope to be back alive and kicking soon.
